This policy explains what personal data Upsolut collects through upsolut.sg and when you work with us, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. We have kept it short and in plain language. If anything is unclear, email privacy@upsolut.sg.
1. Who we are
Upsolut is a brand of Tailjay Pte. Ltd. (“Upsolut”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Singapore (UEN 202307708D). We run upsolut.sg and decide how the personal data described here is used. We follow the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA), and where they apply to you, Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Tailjay’s other ventures, DeeLab, DeeLab Academy and DeeLab Gigs, have their own websites. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
2. What we collect
When you contact us
Your name, email address, firm name, current website (optional), what brings you to us and anything you choose to tell us in your message. We also record the page you sent the form from.
When you work with us
If you become a client: contact details, company details, contract and invoicing records, and the project information needed to do the work. For websites we host, that can include access to your site’s analytics and form data, which we handle only to run and report on the service.
When you visit our website
- Always: technical data your browser sends to any website, such as IP address, browser and device type and the page requested. Our web server uses it to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
- Only if you accept analytics cookies: pages you visit, how long you stay, where you came from, approximate location and device type (Google Analytics), and how you move through a page: clicks, taps and scrolling, as heatmaps and session recordings (Microsoft Clarity). Both load through Google Tag Manager. Clarity masks what you type into forms, so your name, email and message are not recorded.
We do not use our website to collect sensitive data such as health or financial information, and our website is not intended for children under 18.
3. Why we use it and our legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Replying to your enquiry and arranging the call you asked for | Steps you asked for before a contract, or our legitimate interest in answering enquiries |
| Delivering projects, hosting and care, and invoicing | Contract |
| Keeping accounting and tax records | Legal obligation |
| Keeping the website secure and working, blocking spam | Legitimate interest |
| Understanding how the website is used so we can improve it (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) | Your consent, through the cookie banner |
We do not sell your personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
4. Cookies
On your first visit we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you accept, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity do not load. If you reject them, only the strictly necessary cookie below is used. You can change your choice at any time.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary (always on) | |||
| cc_cookie | Upsolut | Remembers your cookie choice | 6 months |
| Analytics (only if you accept) | |||
| _ga, _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Tells visits and visitors apart | Up to 13 months |
| _clck | Microsoft Clarity | Recognises a returning visitor | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Links page views into one visit | 1 day |
5. Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run the website and our work, under their data processing terms, and only for the purposes above:
- Google: email and documents (Google Workspace). Enquiries from our contact form are sent through Google Apps Script and stored in our Google Workspace. If you accept analytics cookies, also Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
- Microsoft: if you accept analytics cookies, Microsoft Clarity, which shows us how visitors use our pages through heatmaps and session recordings.
- Our hosting provider: runs the server that delivers this website.
- Cloudflare: delivers this website through its network and protects it against attacks. When you use our contact form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is sending it, using technical data from your browser such as IP address and browser characteristics.
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, under confidentiality.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
6. International transfers
We are based in Singapore and work from Kuala Lumpur. Google, Microsoft and Cloudflare process data in the United States and other countries. We use providers that protect personal data to a standard comparable to the PDPA and, for EU and UK visitors, rely on their Standard Contractual Clauses or other recognised safeguards.
7. How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Enquiries | For as long as they are useful for working together. We delete them whenever you ask. |
| Client records and invoices | For the relationship, then 5 years, as Singapore tax law requires |
| Web server logs | Briefly, for security and troubleshooting |
| Google Analytics data | 14 months |
| Microsoft Clarity recordings | 30 days (heatmaps and summary data up to 13 months) |
| Your cookie choice | 6 months |
8. How we protect it
Our website runs only over HTTPS. Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it. No system is completely secure; if a data breach is likely to harm you, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate or incomplete
- Delete it, unless we must keep it by law
- Stop using it for a purpose, or withdraw your consent
- Send it to you or another organisation in a common format (GDPR)
Email privacy@upsolut.sg. We reply within 30 days. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time with cookie settings.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission in Singapore, the Personal Data Protection Department in Malaysia, or, in the EU or UK, your local data protection authority.
10. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will tell you directly.
